Asante Kotoko’s star player, Steven Dese Mukwala, will miss the Ghana Premier League clash with Bofoakwa Tano today at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Ugandan international was expected to arrive in Kumasi on Thursday to prepare for the game but has failed to return to Ghana, citing an injury picked up during Uganda’s World Cup qualifying matches.
Mukwala’s absence is a significant blow to Kotoko, who are already struggling to secure a top-four finish in the league table.
The 24-year-old forward has been a standout performer for the club this season, scoring 14 goals and providing two assists in 28 domestic top-flight games.
The striker’s contract with is set to expire at the end of the season, and it appears that he has decided not to extend his stay at the club.
The fabulous side, will enter the field without KEY goalie, Frederick Asare, Adesa Prince but Ogum has replaced him with Augustine Agyapong.
