Kotoko star Steven Mukwala sets new Ghana Premier League record after brace against Hearts of Oak

Asante Kotoko’s Steven Mukwala etches his name in Ghana Premier League history books following his stellar performance against Hearts of Oak.

In a thrilling Super Clash showdown, Asante Kotoko triumphed 2-0 over Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium during matchweek 31.

Mukwala, the Ugandan sensation, showcased his prowess with goals in the 8th and 93rd minutes, securing a pivotal victory for his team in the fiercely contested encounter.

Mukwala also scored twice against the Phobians in the first round Super Clash as Kotoko secured a 3-2 victory.

His remarkable feat of scoring double digits against Hearts of Oak in both home and away fixtures marks a milestone in Asante Kotoko’s history since the league’s inception in 1993.

With his latest goals, the 24-year-old striker now sits as the second-highest scorer in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, trailing behind only Steven Amankona by a single goal.
